Physical Education

Stay active, stay healthy.

All BMC students pursuing the Associate in Arts and Sciences Degree at BMC must successfully complete 3 physical education activity credits.

The department of physical education/wellness is committed to promoting health and personal wellness through the teaching of healthy physically active lifestyles. That's why we have a wide variety of classes and equipment to suit every student's individual interest and level of fitness.

Sample physical education classes include*: Tai chi, toning, beginning to advanced weight training, basketball, softball, volleyball, yoga, hiking, individual training for specific team sports, and classes in teaching physical education.

BMC Fitness & Wellness Center

BMC's fitness center is located in Bldg. 20. With over 3,500 square feet, the Fitness Center is a well-equipped, safe facility for all students, faculty, and staff. Paramount, Life Fitness, Precor, Maxicam, and other fitness equipment provide the Fitness Center user a well-rounded and exceptional facility to complete both cardio and strength workouts.

The Fitness Center offers:

  • 18 different strength machines
  • A complete selection of free weights with barbells, resistance straps, and more
  • A wide selection of cardio equipment, including stationary bicycles, climbers, treadmills, rowing machines and elliptical trainers
